With perfect beaches, crystal blue waters and pristine nature, Croatia is already a vision of a holiday destination. With boat parties, perfect weather and beach bars, Croatia seem to be set up for the music festivals scene which is why more and more events are making their way to its Adriatic shores. Together with this list of the top music festivals, you won’t have trouble finding one that appeals to you. However, you might find it difficult to choose which one to attend first.
Located in Pula, this festival rages from September 4st to September 9th, 2019. With headliners like Damien ‘Jr Gong’ Marley, Stormzy and Andy C, the festival is projected to be one of Croatia’s top summer parties. It will be set up with beaches, artistic architecture and rounds of quality electronic music to keep people dancing. In fact, Outlook has been voted Europe’s top sound system culture festival by BBC, London’s Drum and Bass Arena Awards. If you dig music genres such as techno, house, grime, reggae, and dubstep, Outlook is your place.
From the 21st to the 25th of June 2020, the Hideout Festival will be thriving on Pag Island. Headliners like Jamie XX and Skepta will be causing tickets to sell out fast. Considered the Ibiza of Croatia, this town knows how to throw a party. A hub for everything electronica, visitors here can find dubstep, rave, and techno tunes. And, what makes this festival extra memorable is that it’s known for throwing raging boat parties featuring DJ sets well into the night.
Also located on Pag Island, the Sonus Festival runs from August 18th to the 22nd of 2019. It takes place right on Zrce Beach and is Croatia’s number one techno festival. As the island has some of the top dance clubs in the world, they have attracted some of the hottest international DJs to date.
Located in Split, the Ultra festival will take place on July 10th-12th 2020. Ultra is famous around the world for being the top EDM and techno music festival. The opening party will start at the Giraffe Palm Beach House and the main concert will take place at Poljud Stadium. With many of the leading names in electronic music, intense visuals and an abundance of mini parties, Ultra is much more than just a music festival. In fact, one of the top parties taking place during the festival is located on Brac Island on Zlatni Beach. Moreover, the Ultra Yacht Regatta Party is calling itself the festival’s unique party.
Kicking off in Pula, the Dimensions Festival will run from August 28th until September 1th of 2019. Dimensions set itself apart from other music festivals with its quality and variety of parties. It sets up plenty of laid back chill sessions on the beaches during the day and provides even more chances to rave at underground parties at night. If you want a truly unique rave experience, try joining in on one of their floating clubs atop the Adriatic Sea. With its 2000-year-old amphitheater, Dimensions has some of the best sound production of any of the festivals.
